Healthy living doesn’t mean eating boring food or exercising 5 hours a day every day. It means making healthy choices, exercising in moderation, and getting enough sleep. Check out these five simple ways to live healthier!
Ever since 2009, I’ve been on a quest to live healthier. I learn something new almost every day on my healthy lifestyle journey which has helped me to become the healthiest version of me. 5 Simple Ways to Live Healthier
1. Meal prep and plan.
Meal prepping and planning is one of the easiest ways to live a healthier life. Also reduces food waste!! By preparing healthy foods in advance, it’s easier to reach into the ‘fridge for a quick handful of cut up green peppers than it is to stuff your face with Girl Scout cookies. When healthy food is regularly available, it’s easier to make a healthy choice.
2. Exercise regularly.
If you aren’t already exercising regularly, what are you waiting for? As it stands, 66% of Americans older than age 20 are overweight and approximately 34% of Americans are obese. Weight issues and obesity are associated with a sedentary lifestyle. By simply walking for 30-40 minutes a day 5 days a week, you’ll feel better and be healthier. No excuses.
3. Get some rest.
Sleep is an incredibly important component of a healthy lifestyle. Appropriate amounts of sleep have been correlated with weight management and muscle growth — two important aspects to living healthier.
4. Make sure to relax.
Taking care to do something you love will help you relax and rejuvenate. If you’re always on the go, doing chores, or focusing on work, you leave little time to relax. A little relaxation goes a long way especially when it comes to overall happiness, health, and well-being.
5. Sign up for Frélii.
Frélii – pronounced “freely” – is a monthly subscription service that aims to provide individuals with the knowledge and products that they need to lead healthier lives.
I recently signed up for a free month trial of Frélii. After filling out a short questionnaire, I was given a rundown of three potential health hazards with a corresponding percentage for each risk factor. Based on the questionnaire and potential health hazards, I was then given diet suggestions and an exercise plan. Members can also sign up for supplements based on their questionnaire answers.
The part I like the most about Frélii is learning about my health hazards and what foods I should seek out and which ones I should avoid. It’s been very helpful so far.

One thing to keep in mind with Frélii — and it’s a big one — the results of the questionnaire are NOT a medical diagnosis from a physician. Please seek the proper medical attention if you’re having a medical issue.
For people with limited time, those interested in learning about their potential health hazards, people new to healthy living, or for anyone looking for healthier recipes and meal plans, Frélii is an amazing platform. I’ve really enjoyed the program. There are trainers to help you along with the fitness programs, and I’ve geeked out more than once reading up on all the information pertaining to my health hazards.
It’s incredibly simple to begin living a healthier lifestyle. Meal prep and planning, getting regular exercise, and catching enough zzz’s are top priorities at my house. Hopefully they’ll soon be top priorities for you, too.
